Résumé | The article focuses on erotica collections in the Réserve of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the Private Case of the British Library. It states that in erotica collection in France, there are comparable themes which presents visions of collections as treasuries of a secret sexual knowledge. Artist Naomi Salaman mentions that restriction to access the Private Case was not related to law but fear of the library to be seen as encouraging pornographic reading. |
